we're building tiny homes to last a lifetime, wherever you want to place them in New Zealand. engineered to the handle snow loadings at 800m and extreme wind zones. they're extremely high perfomance.
we've also designed these to some of the highest insulation standards in the housing world, the German passivhaus standards. this means that your new zendom will stay at around 21 degrees all your round. it also means that even with all the windows and doors closed in the depth of winter, zendom will be constantly circulating the stale air from inside with fresh air from outside. by using a heat exchanger, the warm air from inside swaps temperature with cool air from outside, this means you can be getting -3 degree fresh air from outside into your house at the same constant temperature the inside already was.
with your zendom being so super insulated, this means to keep it heated, all it needs is your body temperature (letting off 37 degrees) and any appliances that are in your home to keep the entire thing nice and cosy!
you'll be able to feel safe and comfortable in even the harshest environments.
the rear wall and floors are made out of incredibly strong cross laminated timber, locally sourced, this incredibly eco-friendly product also results in minimal wastage during the construction phase. to create a super strong frame you'll notice big steel beams which importantly are thermally broken from the outside world. up top the roof is wrapped in an eco friendly TPO membrane that doesn't leech any toxic chemicals. the whole thing has then been wrapped up in locally and sustainably grown engineered pine cladding, that is incredibly strong and extremely weather resistant. the windows have been sourced by German company nueffer. these windows are triple glazed, thermally broken and low-e. this means they have an r-value of around 6.0 as opposed to traditional glazing that has only an r-value of 0.8. thats right around 7.5x more efficient than traditional glazing.
essentially, an extremely comfortable, super safe home. these will be pre-consented for use anywhere in New Zealand. making it incredibly easy for you to put anywhere.
